The government has published its list of successful bidders so far for its Community Ownership Fund, which helps local community groups protect local assets at risk of being lost through community ownership such as sports facilities, arts and music venues, museums and galleries, parks, pubs, post offices, and shops.
Following the recent extension of the fund to include town, parish and community councils in England and Wales, the list includes eight local councils who have secured funding, as follows:
