22 October 2024The SLCC Rewards Scheme will be closing on 15 December 2024. The scheme, introduced in January 2022 following member feedback, has unfortunately seen limited use, with only 12% of members taking advantage of it. Given the high costs of maintaining the scheme, we’ve decided to shift our focus to areas that will offer more direct benefits. If you’ve used the discount on an annual policy or membership, please remember that it won’t be available at renewal.
To ensure we made an informed decision, SLCC launched a member survey on 4 July 2024 to gather feedback and assess the scheme’s value. The results, along with further analysis, were reviewed by the Board Working Group. Many of you shared that you’d prefer us to explore new benefits, which led to our decision to redirect resources.
Our priority remains providing the best possible support to our valued members. As part of our new focus, we are investing in initiatives that will have a more direct impact, such as revitalising our local branches and we are currently in the process of launching a two-year pilot project and are recruiting a Branch Empowerment Officer to lead this initiative.
