3 June 2019The sell-out Conference held jointly by SLCC and One Voice Wales at the Liberty Stadium, Swansea on 15th May has been hailed a great success by delegates, 100% of whom said the event was highly beneficial to their council. The Conference also scored an 89% satisfaction rating.
The most popular speaker was a new SLCC favourite, Todd of Spaghetti Agency, who spoke on the importance of social media to the ways councils engage with their communities. Todd is writing on the same subject in the coming July edition of The Clerk magazine.
Another speaker who was especially appreciated was Deryck Evans of the Wales Audit Office who spoke knowledgably about Managing Financial risk. There will be another chance to engage with Deryck when he presents on the Practitioners’ Guide to Governance and Accountancy for Wales, of which he is the author, at SLCC’s Conference for Wales at Llandrindod Wells on 20th June 2019.
