President’s Visit to Gwent Branch
‘I was delighted to attend my first branch meeting as President on 16 October 2024 by joining members of the Gwent Branch. The meeting was held at Pontypool Community Council and was in a hybrid format, with members attending both in person and also participating online.
‘I had been kindly invited by Mr Phil Davy, Chair of the Gwent Branch. Everyone gathered in the Council Chamber which was warm and inviting as it was a very rainy Welsh day outside.
‘On speaking to the Welsh members about current issues in my area of Norfolk, it was interesting to hear many of the same matters were being experienced in Wales.
‘I would like to extend my thanks to Phil Davy, the Gwent Branch members and Lisa McMail, Clerk to Pontypool Community Council, for making me feel so welcome.’
