President’s Pre-Christmas Visit to Bedfordshire Branch
‘On the morning of 10 December 2024, I attended the meeting of the Bedfordshire Branch which was held in Clapham Village Hall.
‘There was an interesting agenda with many reports, including an update from Robin Thomas, Bedfordshire County Officer, and also Sarah Hughes and Antigua Riley Corion from the Community Engagement team, Central Bedfordshire Council. SLCC’s Chief Executive, Rob Smith, was in attendance and provided a general overview from SLCC. I was also delighted to see Richard Walden FSLCC, SLCC Honorary Vice President, at the meeting, which was ably chaired by Paul Hodson PSLCC, Town Clerk to Dunstable Town Council.
‘After the meeting there was a wonderful Christmas lunch at the nearby ‘Horse & Groom’ pub where all members joined in the festivities.
‘It was a lovely day and I wish to thank all the members of the Bedfordshire Branch for their kind invite and hospitality on the day.’
