We are extremely saddened to announce that our friend and colleague, Pauline Whitehead FSLCC, passed away today (8 February) after a short battle with cancer, having made the brave decision to withdraw from treatment to maximise her remaining quality of life.
Pauline completed the Community Governance BA Hons Course in 2012 and has spent eight years working as our Community Governance Tutor and CiLCA Lead Officer. She was a highly valued, dedicated and caring member of the qualifications team who brought energy, enthusiasm and professionalism to her students.
Angie Hurren BEM FSLCC, Community Governance Course Leader says: “We all have our own precious memories of Pauline and have been lucky to know her as a tutor, colleague, and friend. Pauline was the most wonderful lady whose warmth and passion for life brought so much to SLCC and Community Governance. She was an absolute joy to work with and to learn from and we will greatly miss her friendship and everything she brought to the team.”
Pauline will be sorely missed by us all – friends, colleagues, and our professional community – and our hearts go out to her family at this time.
A thanksgiving service will be held on 1 March, please contact [email protected] for more information.
