The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) have opened nominations for three vacancies on its Smaller Councils Committee which represents smaller town and parish councils in England. The committee oversees NALC’s programme which includes advice and guidance, sharing good practice and flagging up any issues of concern to smaller local councils.
Chair of the Smaller Councils Committee, Alison Stevens said “The committee plays an important role in ensuring smaller local councils have their voice heard on the issues related to them. We urge councillors and clerks to stand for election to continue to give these councils a voice and influence NALC’s future work programmes.”
Three vacancies are open to councillors and clerks, the deadline for nominations is 8 November 2019 and online voting will begin from 15 November. Final results will be published on 18 December 2019.
