27 May 2022On Friday, 27 May, John Howell, MP, the government’s Neighbourhood Planning Champion, joined SLCC members and others at a virtual meeting chaired by our National Planning Adviser, Andrew Towlerton. John gave an overview of how the new Levelling Up & Regeneration Bill affects Neighbourhood Plans and answered questions ranging from streamlining the process, design codes, digitalisation and street voting to issues about the 5 year land supply, affordable housing, carbon mitigation, land for cemeteries, second homes and more.
