22 November 2018Following Lis Moore’s decision not to stand for the role of General Secretary, the nomination process was opened to all ALCC members on 3rd September.
By the closing date for receipt of nominations, Linda Hedley, Clerk to Sellindge in Kent, was received. Linda has therefore been elected to the post of General Secretary.
In identifying bullying as one of the issues of concern, Linda commits to work with NALC and other industry stakeholders on initiatives to prevent this.
ALCC Chairman, Lionel Thatcher, said, “I welcome Linda’s election as General Secretary and look forward to working with her and developing further our agenda for the future”.
