Located in southwest Essex, Waltham Abbey Town Council operates a wide range of facilities and has a budget of £1.2m and holds the Local Councils Award at Quality Gold standard.
We are seeking to appoint a knowledgeable and enthusiastic person for this role (Full-time 36 hours), who would be primarily responsible for the operational management and administration of all council functions including buildings, outside spaces and events. A strong leader with excellent interpersonal skills is required to manage communications with both Officers and Councillors alike therefore written English needs to be to a very high standard. Must be CiLCA qualified or willing to become qualified within 18 months. Experience with legal matters, risk, contract negotiation and property contracts is advantageous.
Salary scale point 38 – 42 (£44,539-£48,587 DoE) plus outer fringe London Weighting & Local Government Pension Scheme.
