Job Title – Principal Administrator

Organisation: Newton Abbot Town Council

Location: Newton’s Place, 43 Wolborough Street, Newton Abbot, South Devon TQ12 1JQ

Remuneration: SCP 29 – 32   Actual salary range £32,910 – £35,745

Hours: Full-time 37 hours per week. Monday to Friday, together with up to 30 Wednesday evenings. Weekend working might be required from time to time

• Services: Allotments; parks/gardens; grounds maintenance; cleansing. Pub cons; numerous events; street furniture; numerous major town centre assets including Museum.

Person Spec: The post will require the ability to work as a flexible member of a small team, have excellent communication skills, be an experienced administrator and manager in the democratic process in a local government and community setting.

Qualifications: CILCA qualified or studying for. Council will support appropriate qualification.
