Parish Clerk & Responsible Finance Officer (RFO)

Willand Parish Council is looking to appoint a clerk, the post is part-time, 20 hours per week, and you will be working from home. A laptop, screen and printer will be provided and a lockable filing cabinet to store records.

Working hours are flexible but the post holder must be able to attend the monthly evening council meetings currently on the second Thursday of the month.

Salary, terms and conditions are in line with the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) and the Society of Local Councils Clerks (SLCC); The pay scale will be SCP 10 – 17, subject to experience and qualifications; starting level £12.28 up to £13.96 per hour. There is an allowance for home working paid monthly.

Experience of Local Government would be an advantage, but training is available. It is expected that the successful candidate would become qualified in Local Council Administration. (CiLCA), with support from the Parish Council.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, good IT skills, to include the use of excel and word, and be comfortable using social media platforms and websites.
