Perranzabuloe Parish Council are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to join our team as Clerk. One of the largest and most populous parishes in the south west, we are a busy council with significant commercial interests, a number of devolved local services and a wide range of community and heritage assets under our management. These include the iconic Perranporth Beach, Droskyn Headland and St Piran’s Oratory, important local facilities such as Perranporth Library, Goonhavern and Bolenna Parks, as well as a planned new community centre and a flagship skate park which is due to open later this year.
Your statutory role will ensure that all legal, statutory, financial and other governing provisions relating to the Council are observed, all Council meetings are properly administered and decisions effectively implemented.
We are seeking a talented and forward-thinking individual who can embrace new challenges, guide policy making, improve engagement, harness digital technologies, facilitate organisational change, and implement a strategic vision that will shape the parish for future generations.
We offer excellent nationally based terms and conditions of employment for this post which will involve working some evenings and weekends. The role is offered on a full-time basis, however we are open to negotiate part-time or flexible working hours for the right candidate.
