Position: Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer (RFO)
Location: Parish Council Office, Bransgore, Hampshire, UK
Hours: 30 hours per week (to include evening meetings)
Salary: SCP 29 – 32 (£19.41 – £20.90 per hour)

About Us: Bransgore Parish Council is a vibrant and community-focused local authority committed to improving the quality of life for its residents. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Parish Clerk to join our team and support the Council in delivering its services efficiently and effectively.

Role Overview: The Parish Clerk is the proper officer of the Council. This key role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the Council, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and supporting the Councillors in their duties. The Clerk is responsible for implementing Council decisions, managing Council meetings, and maintaining accurate records.

You should have:

• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within local government or a related field.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Financial management experience, including budgeting.
• Knowledge of local government legislation and procedures.
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft 365 and financial software.

You should be:

• Highly organised and detail oriented.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Have strong interpersonal skills and a community-focused approach.
• Flexible and adaptable, with a proactive attitude.
