Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer – Part Time

Kingston Parish Council is seeking to appoint a Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer.

The Parish Clerk works with members of the Parish Council to serve the community of Kingston. The Clerk is responsible for carrying out the decisions of the Council in a proper and lawful manner. Other duties include advising the council on its legal responsibilities, organizing and supporting Council meetings and managing communications. The Parish Clerk will also act as the Responsible Financial Officer for the Parish and will be responsible for the accounts and financial management of the Council.

Terms – The salary will be in accordance with the local government pay scale LC2. The post is part time, 17.5 hours a month/210 hours per annum with additional hours for training and personal development. Flexibility is required regarding working hours, including the need to attend bi-monthly evening meetings.
