We are ambitious forward-thinking council operating within a single unitary county setting. You will be the council’s Responsible Financial Officer, reporting directly to the Chief Executive, and an integral member of the Corporate Management team.

You’ll directly manage four heads of services, responsible for Finance, Corporate Support, Communications & Customer Services and Democratic Services, with strategic responsibility for outsourced support services. You will be a qualified and chartered accountant; CIPFA, CIMA or equivalent, with significant management and leadership experience. We would expect you to have substantial experience operating within the public sector and ideally within local government.
