This post is an important and pivotal role within our small team, and we are keen to appoint an individual who is capable of working under their own initiative as well as working closely with the Town Clerk to deliver positive leadership and direction.
The postholder will be expected to assist the Town Clerk in the administration and running of Town Council services and activities (to include civic functions), supervision of the staff team, and to contribute positively to the strategic development of the Council as a whole.
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be well presented, efficient, intellectually capable, self-motivated and an effective communicator. They will have demonstrable relevant experience, including qualifications. An ability and commitment to promote good relations with staff, councillors and members of the public is essential.
The post is based on a five day 37-hour week however due to the nature of Town Council business there will be some evening and weekend work, for which time off in lieu will be given.
