Clerk to the Parish Council

Due to retirement the Parish Council is seeking to appoint a new Clerk to the Parish Council with effect from April 2023.
Hildenborough is a semi-rural village situated close to Tonbridge. Currently the Council manages three areas of open space with play areas in two of these, one with a substantial wooded area, and a small village green with seating around a small paved area. All three areas hold Village Green status. The Council is also Trustees of the village hall, currently ably managed by a Management Committee.
The Council is made up of 11 Councillors who bring a wide range and varied experience from both the private and voluntary sectors. The Council also employs a Responsible Finance Officer who works closely with the Clerk.
Applications are invited from candidates who have excellent communication skills and enjoy the challenges of managing and dealing with many and varied projects. Preferably you will have achieved or be working towards CiLCA qualification, although consideration will be given to otherwise suitable candidates who are prepared to undertake CiLCA training.
The role requires an average of 19.5 hours per week worked flexibly from home. Attendance at approximately three evening meetings per month will also be required.
