Cranfield Parish Council is seeking an organised and capable individual to act as Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer.
- 25 hours, Monday to Friday, based at Cranfield Community Centre.
- A minimum of 22 evening meetings (1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month)
- Salary in accordance with NJC LC 29-33 recommended rates, pro-rata.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent administrative, financial and interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively organise and prioritise.
They will manage the Council’s statutory requirements in accordance with best practice standards, using the Council’s policies and standard operating procedures.
They will be required to provide advice to and to implement the decisions of the Council across a wide range of activities. They will hold a CiLCA or be willing to work toward achieving it within 18 months.
The key responsibilities will be to ensure that lawful instructions of the council are carried out and to act as the main point of contact on Council business, maintain proper accounts, manage, operations, assets and three members of staff.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software and cloud computing is essential. Knowledge of RBS Alpha and Payroll software is desirable. A PC will be provided. Training will be given where appropriate.
