28 January 2022SLCC and the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) officially launched the International Buddy Programme on Wednesday 26 January. Over 50 clerks from the United States, Canada,
South Africa, the United Kingdom and Europe registered to participate in the Zoom event. SLCC Past President, Linda Larter MBE FSLCC, who is buddied up with Stephanie Carrara, a clerk based in America, discussed the benefits of buddying with an international clerk before participants had the opportunity to chat with fellow clerks from around the world and share experiences, discuss differences, and talk about what they all love and loathe about clerking! The event was great fun, with lots of new clerks successfully buddying up.
