24 March 2022The International Institute for Municipal Clerks (IIMC) has released a statement of support and solidarity with peers in Ukraine. It condemns the war as a blatant violation of international law and as a catastrophic attack on human rights, as well as expressing its full support and solidarity to the Ukrainian people and our peers in local and regional government.
This follows the Council of European Municipalities and Regions issuing a statement , which now has over 740 signatures from local councils covering 23 countries. As well as other local government organisations including SLCC, the National Association of Local Councils (NALC), and the Local Government Association (LGA) all sharing supporting statements.
