2 August 2023SLCC are delighted to be sponsoring a number of delegate places at this year’s International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) Region XI Symposium and Vereniging Van Griffins (VvG) Annual Conference, which are taking place in Amsterdam on Thursday 21 and Friday 22 September. For those of you who may not know, VvG is the SLCC equivalent membership organisation for municipal clerks in the Netherlands. Together we form part of the global network of the (IIMC) and its Region XI represents its affiliated organisations outside of the USA.
We are inviting six members to join a small number of Board, National Forum and Community Governance members at the events via an application process. The package includes:
Thursday 21st September
- IIMC Region XI Symposium and dinner (commencing at 13:30 at De Balie, a Dutch organisation producing independent journalistic programs about art, culture and politics)
- Hotel accommodation with breakfast

Please note successful applicants will need to pay for all travel to and from Amsterdam as well as any further nights spent in a hotel.
The main theme of the VvG conference this year is ‘The Clerk as a Beacon of Democracy’ and the agenda for the day is varied, including excursions, workshops and speakers.
