‘I came away from the course equipped with techniques and knowledge that has already not only helped me in how I interact with the staff but also has enabled me to negotiate to put in place procedures for the benefit and growth of the staff knowledge pool. I believe the Council and staff have all therefore benefited from the information I gained and ultimately the community we serve has too. The beauty of these courses are that you meet other clerks from parishes of varying degrees of size all of whom have matters to share so your experience exposure is widened considerably and the coverage of problem solving is far greater than a one on one session. The course provided me with techniques that can only assist me with the daily staff management as well as valuable contacts with other clerks (I believe networking is vital)’ Karen Hill, Walton Community Council
