Overview
SLCC’s NEW Internal Auditor e-learning
The sector, particularly those councils under £200,000, is in desperate need of internal auditors who understand the processes and governance of local councils.
With this in mind, and with support from the SAAA (Smaller Authorities Audit Appointments), the SLCC is currently developing an online sector specific internal auditor course.
This course will be a great addition for an experienced clerk who would like to expand their knowledge, and help other councils in the process.
Join us to hear about the training and how you might be able to get involved in internal audit from a different angle.
Please note: This session will last between 30 minutes to 1 hour, to allow time for everyone to ask questions.

About the Trainer
Jane Olds has been a Clerk in Oxfordshire since 2011.
Starting with a very small parish, she has gained experience by working for several other parishes, clerking for up to three at one time. After gaining her CiLCA qualification, she decided to reduce to two villages and move some of her focus to internal auditing of other councils. She is passionate about good governance and believes that she can offer valuable support and experience for the smaller councils.
Jane is also the SLCC’s General Advisor.
Wrong time? Wrong place?
SLCC is always keen to respond to members’ needs for training. If you would like to register an interest in having a particular course delivered via webinar or in your region, please let us know.
