We are pleased to welcome Emma Smith as SLCC’s new Wales Policy Liaison Officer. Emma takes over from Mark Galbraith who has now left SLCC.
Emma has been working for SLCC since November 2022 as Welsh Advisor. She is also Clerk to Carmarthen Town Council in West Wales and has had various clerk roles for the past ten years. Emma is currently Chair of the SLCC West Wales Branch and has previously worked in a policy development role for the Welsh Language Board and Welsh Language Commissioner. Emma is a fluent Welsh speaker and happy to communicate in either English or Welsh.
When not at work, Emma is busy looking after her three children with her husband Gareth, and trying to spend time in the outdoors and enjoying all the local area has to offer.
