18 January 2025The government has published the outcome of the consultation to increase the fees payable to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) for Data Protection registration. Legislation will be introduced to increase these fees in ‘early 2025′.
The fee payable by most local councils with turnover under £632,000 or no more than 10 members of staff, will rise from £40 to £52.
Larger councils’ fee will increase from £60 to £78. The existing discount for direct debit payments (£5) will continue to apply.
