The Level 4 Certificate of Higher Education in Community Governance is a prestigious professional qualification designed for all local council staff, councillors, and county officers. This programme builds upon the knowledge gained through the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA).
Community Governance explores how individuals and organisations collaborate and operate independently to make decisions that benefit local communities. This qualification is awarded by De Montfort University (DMU), which holds a Silver rating under the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).
The Level 4 Certificate of Higher Education in Community Governance takes two years to complete and the academic year runs from February to November. As a distance learning programme, you have the flexibility to study at home or at work. We will provide all necessary course materials and guidance to support your learning journey.
