The Climate Response of the Year award honours parish or town councils that lead by example in climate action, showcasing long-term strategic thinking, robust community engagement, and effective partnerships. This award is a testament to local councils’ vital role in preparing and protecting their communities against climate change.
To nominate someone, complete the nomination form available on the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) website. Along with the form, provide a concise 150-word supporting statement for each criterion, showcasing strategic planning, community engagement, preparedness measures and collaborative efforts. Anyone can submit a nomination, and council members or staff can nominate their council.
