Location: Choppington Parish Council, based at Stakeford and Bomarsund Welfare Centre NE62 5UD

Hours: 37 hours per week, with flexible hours to include evening attendances at meetings Salary: Starting at LC3 (33-36) £42,708 – £45,718 moving to LC3 (37-41) after agreed milestones.

Pension: Eligible for Local Government Pension Scheme

Holidays: Minimum 25 days rising to 28 days after 5 years plus Public holidays.

Choppington Parish Council is situated in the South East of Northumberland Founded after the Local Government Review in 2010, Choppington is a community council working with and under the direction of local residents, serving a population of around 10,000 with a current budget of £631,000. The Council has a shared workforce with Northumberland County Council to provide local green services; and has responsibility for a wide range of local services and managing assets in excess of £750K. It has partnership agreements to provide youth activities and provides support for a village hall and other community facilities.

The Operations Manager is a newly established senior role within the organisation. This position will involve close collaboration with stakeholders, as well as colleagues and elected members and offers a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the council. This is an opportunity for a person with an established record of achievement to contribute to the community by playing a vital role in the operations of Choppington Parish Council.
