Overview
This 1.5-hour webinar will look to ask and answer questions such as:
“Who owns the village hall?”
“Who is responsible for running it, and are the current arrangements fit for purpose?”
It will discuss sources of funding, such as grant funding for capital projects, hiring fees for local users (is one user becoming dominant?), and also commercial lettings.
Other topics that will be covered during the session include:
- Employment of staff (who is the employer?)
- Looking to future requirements of the locality
- Hiring agreements (when were they last reviewed, and do hirers provide adequate insurance?)
- Compliance with current legislation (are regular checks undertaken? / are the premises fit for purpose? / health and safety)
