4 September 2024SLCC and One Voice Wales (OVW) are hosting an exclusive event for clerks, local council employees and councillors in Wales on 20 November 2024.
Taking place virtually and generously sponsored by Gallagher, this important event will focus on key topic areas such as democratic health, future priorities for the local council sector, review of the outcome of the external audit process, joint work with the Welsh Local Government Association, the cost of living crisis, and the finance and governance self-assessment toolkit.
In attendance will be Jayne Bryant MS, Cabinet Secretary for Housing, Local Government and Planning in the Senedd, as well as Deryck Evans from Audit Wales, Kevin Griffiths from the Welsh Government, a member of the Welsh Government’s Task and Finish Group on democratic health, and Emma Goode, Cost of Living Project Manager in One Voice Wales. Helen Quick, SLCC Head of Education and Events, together with Paul Egan, OVW Deputy Chief Executive and Resources Manager, who will be providing an update on training matters.
