Position: Community Engagement, Events and Project Officer

Location: Kingswood, South Gloucestershire

Job type: Full Time (37 hours) or a minimum of 28 hours depending on your circumstances and to be confirmed on offer.  This is a permanent role, on a flexible basis, subject to a six-month probation period.

Salary: SCP 24 to 28 and £33,024 to £36,648 plus Local Government Pension Scheme

About us

This is a brand-new role in a brand-new council, and an exciting opportunity to help drive forward our vision, to make Kingswood a great place for people to grow up and grow old.  We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic event professional, who has worked within a community environment, who will share our commitment and belief in the unique potential of our town. This role will be responsible for managing an annual programme of events, with associated publicity, health and safety and budgetary management as well as supporting the town clerk develop a number of exciting projects to help the council grow and achieve its ambition.  You will be working with a small, friendly council team, with other stakeholders and a thriving voluntary sector in Kingswood.
