Town Clerk/Responsible Finance Officer

Petersfield Town Council is seeking a full time Town Clerk paid on Local Authority grade L4 (below substantive range) SCP range 46-49. We are seeking an individual who can take the Council onto the next stage in its plans to deliver services and develop facilities for the community.
The successful candidate will be an experienced team manager with a proactive, results oriented, can-do attitude. They will be capable of fostering excellent working relationships with a wide range of external contacts and manage a number of concurrent issues. Some evening work will be required facilitating Council meetings.
They will be accountable to the Council for the effective management of its resources and responsible for all financial records and administration of its finances.
The job holder will preferably have experience in the local council sector and be CilCA qualified or be willing to undertake the necessary training to achieve qualification.
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: from circa £60,000 p.a.
