23 January 2024The Welsh Government has announced an extension to its bursary schemes to help strengthen financial management and governance for another year. The funding allows councils to access a support package to boost their governance infrastructure, including increasing training for clerks and councillors.
Two different schemes are available to clerks or deputy clerks, the Wales Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) Bursary Scheme and the Wales Training Bursary Scheme.
To qualify all training must be completed by 28 February 2025.
