SLCC would like to congratulate Andrea Mann PSLCC, Parish Clerk to Odiham Parish Council in Hampshire, on winning the Clerk of the Year award at the National Association of Local Council’s (NALC) Star Council Awards 2023. Announced at a parliamentary reception in the House of Lords on 29 November, Andrea’s “tenure at Odiham Parish Council in Hampshire since November 2019 has been transformative.” You can read more about Andrea’s achievements here.
We would also like to congratulate the winners of all the other categories, including Braunstone Town Council in Leicestershire and Rutland for the Council of the Year award; Cllr Lorna Berrett, Botley & North Hinksey Parish Council in Oxfordshire for the Councillor of the Year award; Cllr Cameron Palin, East Cowes Town Council in Isle of Wight for the Young Councillor of the Year award; and Essex Association of Local Councils for the County Association of the Year award.
The Star Council Awards are the only awards programme in England specifically designed to acknowledge the impact and contribution of local councils in their communities.
