The Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS) has updated the advice for employers on how to handle staff bereavement at work and understand an employee’s right to time off. This includes being sensitive to what each person may need at the time, considering the person’s physical and emotional wellbeing, including once they have returned to work and recognising that grief affects everyone differently.
