14 February 2022Do your council bank with NatWest? Would you like the opportunity to work with senior NatWest staff on how to improve the banking processes for parish and town councils?
At the end of January, Rob Smith, SLCC Chief Executive, Naomi Bibi, SLCC Head of Member Services and Michael King, SLCC Director, met with Colin Lowen, the Director for Local Government and Social Housing at NatWest Bank, to raise awareness to the challenges that clerks often face with day-to-day banking for their councils. Following this meeting, Mr Lowen has agreed to work with three clerks to see what can be done to improve and streamline the banking process.
We are now looking for three clerks, one each from a small, medium and large council, who already bank with NatWest, to take part in this project. If you are interested, and feel you could make a valuable contribution, please contact Naomi Bibi, [email protected]
