Town Clerk/Responsible Finance Officer

St Columb Major Town Council are seeking to appoint a new Town Clerk/Responsible Finance Officer. The successful candidate must be highly motivated and proactive, with excellent organisational, leadership and administrative skills.
The successful candidate should hold the CiLCA qualification or be prepared to work towards the qualification. It is preferable that the candidate will have demonstrable experience in managing a vibrant organisation, working productively with councillors, and have a good working knowledge of current legislation affecting this sector. They must be able to form strong partnerships with the community and local authority and be able to motivate and influence others.
This is a full-time post, with the salary scale: SCP 37 – 41 £40,876 – £44,863 qualified – to be negotiated if unqualified
The successful candidate will be expected to work two days a week during the months of June, July & August, working with the current Clerk to learn systems, etc. and will be appointed full-time from 1 September 2022.
