Cemetery Manager

Aylesbury Town Council is seeking a new member of its Senior Management Team who will, ideally, have relevant experience working in cemetery management and bereavement services. Preferably with an ICCM qualification or equivalent, however training will be provided. Significant experience using Microsoft 365 software, as well as database software or similar is required. The successful candidate will possess the ability to display tact and diplomacy and deal with issues of a sensitive nature.
The role requires strong people and interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills and will involve regular contact with organisations such as funeral directors, memorial masons, the bereaved and the Coroner, as well as staff members and elected councillors and thus developing widespread and positive working relationships is essential.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to work on their own initiative and prioritise their work whilst also being an effective team player.
