National Association of Local Councils (NALC) has launched two surveys on the recent local elections – one for town and parish councils and one for councillors.
It is hoped that the surveys will provide a valuable insight into how elections are supported and planned and look at what type of future resources NALC can provide, along with ways to encourage more diverse candidates to come forward.
NALC chair, Cllr Sue Baxter, said: ‘NALC is dedicated to continuing to carry out research. The research has helped NALC capture in-depth analysis of local elections. We will continue this approach as we look to compare the responses from the 2021 elections to previous ones.’
