A new campaign has been launched by Keep Britain Tidy and its Centre for Social Innovation as part of the ‘Love Parks’ initiative to address what they call a ‘littering epidemic’ and increase in antisocial behaviour in our parks and open spaces.
The results of their survey paint a worrying picture with 81% reporting that they have had to spend more on clearing up litter, 79% on bin emptying and 72% on public order and enforcing lockdown regulations.
The campaign features park users and park staff and are a proven and effective method of getting the message across. A free digital toolkit as well as downloadable resources can be accessed by visiting the website here.
