15 July 2020The Community Governance team has learned that colleagues at De Montfort University (DMU) have been given the go ahead by the Faculty Executive to prepare the validation documents for the MA in Public Leadership and Management. This is great news for the team and is the first – and most important – step towards validation of the MA in late autumn ready for delivering to SLCC members from April 2021.
Popularity of the Community Governance course saw the highest ever demand for places in 2019 with a waiting list necessary at level 4! A recent tweet from Claire Commons, Shaftesbury Town Clerk currently studying for Level 5 reflected on the quality of the teaching support she had received: “I should add thanks to @lisabethski @SLCCnews for the Community Governance qualification helping me see beyond just doing just what’s always been done.”
