Many congratulations to Celia Price, Clerk to Upper Beeding Parish Council in West Sussex, who is the deserving recipient of the Blachere Scholarship and receives £1,000 towards the Level 4 tuition fee for the Community Governance course.
This extremely difficult decision was made by Garry Brown of Blachere Illuminations and Rob Smith, Chief Executive, SLCC. Garry said “We had an extremely difficult task in narrowing down the excellent applications as all of the candidates were deserving of the scholarship. However, we have chosen Celia Price, Clerk to Upper Beeding Parish Council because her passion for learning and for the sector shone through. We wish both Celia and all the other applicants the very best of luck with their studies.”
Celia commented, “I am absolutely thrilled to have been awarded the Blachere Illumination Scholarship and can’t wait to get stuck into the Community Governance Course. I know that it will be hard work but am really looking forward to developing my knowledge and confidence and am so grateful for the award from Blachere Illuminations which has given me an added incentive to do well!”
