11 August 2021The Welcome Back Fund provides councils in England with a share of £56 million from the European Regional Development Fund (EDRF) and builds on the £50 million Reopening High Streets Safely Fund which was launched by the UK Government in 2020.
Although town and parish councils are not eligible to apply directly for funding under this scheme, there is an expectation that principal authorities develop delivery partnerships with local stakeholders, including lower tier authorities.
