The hugely popular long-distance learning course Working With Your Council is now available to do in just two days!

Normally we leave it up to you to study at your own pace in your own time with a dedicated Regional Training Manager offering support. Now, due to a high demand we are offering you the opportunity to complete the course in two days.

Is the course for me?
This course is recommended for all Clerks, Deputy Clerks, or Administrative Officers, especially those who are newly appointed and Councillors who wish to find out more about how their Council works. This CPD course is particularly aimed towards those who would prefer to do the course over two days and those who do not need the flexibility of home study.

What will I learn?
This class based induction course will also put you into a better position to tackle the CILCA qualification earlier and more confidently. A course made up of two full days, one month apart, working through all aspects of managing and working with a council. It’s all there in the bound document “Working with your Council” a vital part of the National Training Strategy.

Six Core Topics
The course consists of six core knowledge topics, covering:

Roles & Responsibilities
Law
Procedures
Finance
Planning
Community Action

While the course will help you work through all the WWYC modules and give you all the information needed, some additional work will be required prior to submission.
