The course objective is to explain the background and working implications of the legislation which govern how we handle information. Data Protection – its practical application in the day to day workings of a local authority and the Freedom of Information Act; and the more recent Environmental Information Regulations 2004. A day long course for clerks, their deputies and councillors aimed for those who are new to this legislation and its implications.
